I’m really excited to have been invited to speak at the Joan Shorenstein Center on the Press, Politics and Public Policy on the topic of “Black Power 2.0: The Rise of the Online African-American Political Influential.” It will also be broadcast on C-SPAN at a later date. I’ll post the archive for ya once it’s available.

One of the things that’s become truly meaningful to me are the many requests I receive from students working on dissertations and theses who contact me asking questions or wanting interviews. I am glad the work that we’ve done at JJP is interesting and inspiring to a new generation coming up who I know will electrify America soon. So I’m grateful whenever I have a chance to speak to students and answer their questions – I look forward to seeing what head-turning, trouble-making and world-changing activities they get into…
