You’ll remember last week I wrote about an upcoming “Black in America” special called “Almighty Debt”. Soledad O’Brien sent us a response. She says to you & me:

“With each Black in America I hope to shed light on the challenges and triumphs of the African-American community. My goal is always to tell the story of how we got where we are today and to measure the distance travelled.

Almighty Debt looks at how our churches are helping us face the largest economic crisis of our time, and takes note of the many reasons (historical and modern day) our community was put at a disadvantage.

I hope everyone will watch with both a critical eye and an open mind.”

According to the all-knowing Wikipedia, Soledad O’Brien’s dad was white Australian and her mami was Afro-Cuban.
