Rep. Charles Rangel (D-NY), “demand[ing] the right to be heard,” addressed his colleagues on the House floor today. In his statement, the Congressman apologized for any embarrassment he has caused surrounding his current ethics investigation. Rangel, facing an Ethics Committee trial in September, also rejected advice urging him to consent to a plea agreement.
