A black bourgeoisie perspective on U.S. politics
From our resident tennis fanatic Craig Hickman, who has written his own post on Serena’s win:
I’m in heaven. Serena Williams beat Justine Henin 6-4, 3-6, 6-2 to win the Australian Open. It’s her 12th major title, tying Billie Jean King for 6th on the all-time list. It’s the first time she defended a Slam since Wimbledon 2003. She’s now holds 5 Australian Opens, surpassing Margaret Court, Monica Seles, Steffi Graf, and Evonne Goolagong for the most won in the Open Era. They were all tied with 4. And she improves her overall winning percentage in Grand Slam finals to the best among active players, woman or man.
