A black bourgeoisie perspective on U.S. politics
Hey there — I’ve been asked to weigh in on yesterday’s election with two conservative bloggers: Lenny McAllister and Scott Ott of ScrappleFace.
Republicans got a shot in the arm or a jump from the paddles (“Clear!”) last night, but they shouldn’t be jumping up and down. Exit polls show that these races were about local politics, not Obama and that the Republicans who won actually represented change in their area. They also borrowed heavily from Obama on issues like green jobs and transparency in government.
Please join me – I could use the good vibes from my JJP peeps. Head over to CNN.com/Live to watch and chat online. We’ll put up video once it’s available (prob a day or two).
