I mean, even in grade school, I can remember the one and only time I managed to break open a can of whip-ass on a girl who was the meanest bully ever seen at Robert C. Chatham Elementary School in North East Houston, Texas, back in 1969 (hint: a Hula Hoop helped me pour out the whip ass).

Yet, Chris Brown goes on Larry King Live and plans to insult the intelligence of everyone watching by saying he
“couldn’t remember” whipping Rihanna’s ass (hat tip to Gina McAuley of What About Our Daughters):

King, whose interview airs on Wednesday night on CNN’s “Larry King Live,” asked Brown if he could remember the event, and the singer told him “no.”

“I just look at it like, wow, I’m in shock, because, first of all, that’s not who I am as a person, and that’s not who I promise I want to be,” Brown said in a video posted on CNN’s website. “So when I look at the police reports or hear about the police reports, I just don’t know what to think.”

Gina is of the opinion that Satan has possessed Chris Brown, but according to her, Satan’s not having it, and is denying all culpability, LOL:

September, 2, 2009, BURNING LAKES OF FIRE, HELL (AP) Today, Satan issued an unprecedented statement disclaiming responsibility for a bad act  in advance of  it being publicly  blamed on “The Devil.”

“In light of some previous defamatory statements from the likes of Ted Haggard and Bishop Thomas Weeks, VIII, I felt it imperative to disclaim any responsibility in advance of being blamed by Christopher Brown for his violent attack on Rihanna. While Mr. Brown has not yet blamed me or any of my employees, subcontractors or vendors for the attack, we became concerned that he might when transcripts from his appearance on the American television show, Larry King Live indicated that he said that he couldn’t quite remember his violent acts.”

You can read more of this “dispatch” at What About Our Daughters, which also features a good, in-depth coverage of the Dunbar Village Trial – a coverage, which, as we all know, is not being covered by the National Media.  Gina also has the link to the interview up on her blog and Chris is channeling Steve Urkel in an attempt to get US to forget he beat Rihanna, one-handed, while driving his car on a LA street.

The revolution will not be televised, but Chris Brown’s interview insulting all of us will be.  Go Figure….

But seriously, how do you forget beating someone’s ass?  Can one get enraged to the point of blacking out?  I know that is the usual defense of those perpetuating domestic abuse; not to mention that children witnessing beatings will become abusers themselves.  There is a danger in giving too much weight to this type of defense as opposed to holding the perpetrator accountable and responsible for their actions, because after awhile, use of this defense will do nothing more than elicit a good yawn from a desensitized jury who have heard it too many times.

But, I gotta ask the question again:  HOW DO YOU FORGET YOU BEAT SOMEONE’S ASS?
