A black bourgeoisie perspective on U.S. politics
This is my final video interview with Jacie of Kentucky from the line at Busboys & Poets the day before inauguration. Jacie was also interested in more discussion on this site of how best to work with white liberals who’s intentions and passion he called welcome but who, he said, could never fully understand what it means to be black.
It’s an age-old coalition-building challenge, and Jacie used an example from his own life that I think yall will find interesting. It’s just about 90 seconds. Check it.
So what do you think? For our white visitors, what’s your take on the challenge of being a white liberal and navigating race in the quest for justice?
