A black bourgeoisie perspective on U.S. politics
UPDATE: Thanks for the suggestions, everyone. If you haven’t done so already, please take a moment to post your ideas over at Obama’s transition website.

There’s been a lot of discussion about diversity and Obama’s appointees.
Well . . . I’m gonna throw the question right at you guys.
Who should Obama appoint?
Obama ran a grassroots campaign that was, in many respects, as strong as the ideas and efforts of his supporters.
There will be times when he might need a little direction. That doesn’t make him a disappointment or a fraud. . . it makes him human.
As such, it’s reasonable to encourage that questions of diversity be accompanied by a list of suggestions.
So I’d like to hear them. High and/or lower-level appointees. I’ve heard a few suggestions, but I’d like to hear more.
Names . . . positions . . . perhaps a little background information . . . would they pass confirmation . . . etc.
The floor is yours:
Who would you like to see in the Obama Administration and why?
