We’ve gotten a lot of emails from people saying stuff like I’m broke but I’ma give y’all a piece cuz this is really important. Dang, even a coupla JJP front page bloggers were dropping lines like: “I’m Broke broke but here’s some $.” BTW, much love to Jack Turner, CPL and the incomparable rikyrah for their donations and their help in fundraising for Obama.

An extra-special thanks goes to Angela who ponied up a whopping $300, our largest single donation so far!!! She said when giving simply:

Hopefully she won’t be writing back and be all like, girl, I need to drop one of those zeroes for real. I meant $30 not $300! Nah, I’m just kidding. Thanks again Angela – in the words of Kanye: “Go ‘head, girl, go ‘head, git down”.

We’re at $2500 now. At $2300, we maxed out our group contribution to Obama for America. (Don’t worry, you also get individual credit, too.) Additional funds go to the Democratic National Committee which is working hard based on the emails they keep sending us. The DNC is pulling out all the stops on Dean’s 50 State Strategy and is getting out the vote in states like NC, ND, MT, VA, IN, AZ, NM, CO for the next few days (and fighting voter suppression too). This puts our group donation in the same league as Oprah! Or Jamie Foxx! Lil bits add up to a lot of power. 68 people have donated. Will you be the 69th or 75th person to give? It’s what all the cool kids are doing for Halloween this year. Trick or treat – you gots a lil treat for Barack Obama, yes or no?

Today is the last day that your $ will be used before or during the election. This is the homestretch. This is our big moment. We can do more than vote this time: we can help make Obama President! Let’s get as close as possible to our goal. Let’s Bring It for Barack one last time.
