This season has been full of people cribbing Obama, whether it’s his campaign slogans or fonts.

From CNN:

Sarah Palin likes to tell voters around the country about how she “put the government checkbook online” in Alaska. On Thursday, Palin suggested she would take that same proposal to Washington.

“We’re going to do a few new things also,” she said at a rally in Cedar Rapids. “For instance, as Alaska’s governor, I put the government’s checkbook online so that people can see where their money’s going. We’ll bring that kind of transparency, that responsibility, and accountability back. We’re going to bring that back to D.C.”

There’s just one problem with proposing to put the federal checkbook online – somebody’s already done it. His name is Barack Obama.

Big up to CNN for calling this fool out.

This is mad annoying. Not only does Sarah Palin know nothing about foreign policy, she doesn’t know the policies of her own damn country, that she wants to lead.

My number one reason for supporting Obama is because of his support for government transparency and tools of civic engagement. His Google For Government Bill became, and I urge you to go there now. You can see government spending by department, Congressional district and specific contractor. You can see the extent of competition. You can get the data in XML down to the transaction level.

In other words, Sarah Palin is a straight up punk.
