UPDATE: Tubbs Jones passed away at 6:12pm EST according to the NYTimes.

UPDATE: Rep. Tubbs Jones remains alive and in critical condition and was erroneously reported by MSNBC (and other media outlets as deceased. Thanks to folks in the comments letting us know. We’ll keep you posted.

According to CNN’s homepage, Stephanie Tubbs-Jones has passed away. She was only 58 years old.

I was pretty critical of Rep. Tubbs-Jones during the primaries, but obviously all of us at JJP are really sad about this news. We wish her family and friends the best.
