It's a shame that the possible outcome of Congress successfully forestalling socialism and protecting individual liberty is being called “What if Congress fails to act?” I assert that that is language intended to manufacture readers' opinion.

I am in favour of healthcare reform. I am not in favour of the legislation that I have read. Have you read any of the 3 bills?

It's amazing how the health care debate has been reduced to sound bytes such as “death panels” and “government takeover.” It's a real disservice to the American people. We deserve to hear the facts and know the figures and the politicians and the media have done just the opposite.

It's amazing to see the fury against health care reform. I think a lot of people really can't identify with reform sympathizers unless they've been screwed over by their insurance companies.

It's also upsetting the debate has been reduced to phrases like “death panels” and “government takeover.” The typical scare tactics the right likes to deploy when they have no true alternative solution.
