These are the same groups of children who make fun of other Black students for "Acting White" by getting good grades. Until we reward people/students/children who do what they are supposed to do, we will not see a change in this country. More coddling of those who are not interested in participating in mainstream classrooms/society. Reward those children who come to school wanting to learn. Hold parents (both of them) accountable for their children's behavior starting in KINDERGARTEN. More parents(both of them) need to be standing in front of Truancy Court answering hard questions. More "stay-at-home" moms need to get their state check reduced for not getting their children up for school on time (cause it's free breakfast, and transportation). Send these parents who come up to school to"set a teacher out" to mandatory anger management and parenting classes. It's all cute to them until the child gets to high school and can't get socially promoted to the next grade because they can't pass the credits. We should be holding ourselves to a higher standard, not dumping money into the same old problems. When a child walks into kindergarten and can't sit still, won't be quiet, and can't identify their ABC's (not just sing the song). This is a red flag! Why are we so scared to call bad parenting out? Then 10 years later, it's everybody elses' fault.

GROAN!
