Well considering she has survived cancer 3 times under our current health care system, I'm guessing she's been there and back already. But thank you for your sensible and clear thinking thoughts on such an important issue that affects millions.

I encourage the clear thinking people at Jack and Jill to sign the petition created by Firedoglake.com founder Jane Hamsher condemning the Senate's and the President's compromise on health care reform that completely throws the Public Option under the bus. From the Petition:

"The Senate is cutting a deal to kill the public option by giving the President the “trigger” that his Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel, has been fighting for since he took office.” Shoveling taxpayer dollars into “too big to fail” insurance companies is not the change I voted for .The failure to establish a public option to control medical costs and increase competition is President Obama’s failure alone."

Obama and the Democrat’s betrayals on health care reform are many and it's up to Americans fight against a system and weak leaders who enable an industry that allows 45,000 people a year to die because of lack of coverage. Please read the following post on Firedoglake.com and sign the petition:

A House subcommittee approved legislation Wednesday aimed at forcing college football to switch to a playoff system to determine its national champion, over the objections of some lawmakers who said Congress has meatier targets to tackle.

The bill, which faces steep odds, would ban the promotion of a postseason NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision game as a national championship unless it results from a playoff. The measure passed by voice vote in a House Energy and Commerce Committee subcommittee, with one audible "no," from Rep. John Barrow, D-Ga.
