great reminder. didn't watch the video so u may have already touched on this (and my apologies if it was addressed) but i would add that participation in local politics is vital. attending your local school board meeting can be the most patriotic thing a person can do. our children are counting on US. even if u aren't a parent, your presence at those meetings can change the direction of this country.

I DEFINITELY agree with this post.

I participated in a phone bank for healthcare reform. The hardest part was just making that first call. After that, It was easy-squeezy!! Really. The host will have a script to work from and a list to call. And probably spaghetti or pizza or potluck.

I've decided to just roll it into my life. At least once a month, or as urgent issues come up, I'll do some calling. The Organizing for America (OFA) website (which used to be the Obama campaign website...) lets you find a phonebank close to you.

Take your cell phone and the charger and get to callin'!!!
