Come on, Jill. I love me some Jack and Jill Politics, but polluting the internet with any more "can Palin win in 2012" shit might as well put bloggers in bed with the newsreaders on TV.

She's not running for prez.

Sarah Palin is like those chicks us guys used to date when we were younger who knew from the rip that they weren't going to let us sniff the panties.

They would rub up on us, though, and tickle our ears with their lips just enough for our dumb asses to get happy and happily pull out our wallets.

Call her what she is - a Free Meal Lucy.

But I can't blame her - the people behind her need a Great White Hope so bad they will believe anything she coyly tells them.

And she will get very, very paid in the process.

Now that she's got a little money in her pocket, Sarah Palin isn't willing to kiss enough ass to even get close to raising the kind of big donor dollars you need to run for president.

As my momma would say, "she wouldn't work on a pie train with donut wheels."

And while I'm at it, Lou Dobbs doesn't have a chance in hell either.

2012 will be show us a dark house (no pun intended) GOP nominee you won't see coming.

AND interesting/typical, there’s no polling of the African-American or Latino demographics in this Washington Post poll. Yes, I know Sarah’s world is like an idealized 1950s view of an homogenous America where minorities are hidden in ghettoes and tucked away in non-threatening low wage jobs.

This is key. Whether it's health care reform, education reform or business bailouts, the Black/Brown voice seems to be routinely avoided.

A big hello to all at JJP. This is me, babyming, relocated from California to Arizona almost 3 months ago for a job. In response to this article about Palin, let me say the obvious: that these "emotional movements" always seem to turn on the people who started them. This whole "right-wing insanity" began as worship of George W. Bush; even GWB is hated by some of these same right-wingers now. Palin, I assume, will suffer the same fate. Will she campaign for McCain in Arizona in 2010? If she does, she'll annoy "the base", because McCain is less "hardcore" than his opponent in the Republican primary.

Palin is only interested in the battle with the Democrats. She doesn't care that President Obama gave a BEAUTIFUL speech this morning, welcoming the Prime Minister of India and his wife to the White House. Her adoring crowds are filled with anger, and I think it's safe to predict that they will someday turn against her.

Anyway, my best wishes to all at JJP, especially as Thanksgiving approaches. I'm sorry I had to leave California to find work in Arizona, and I'm sorry so many of us are hurting now in these difficult economic times. Everyone try to relax and enjoy the holidays!

Poor immigrants from Mexico on south are majority Catholic. They tend to be very traditional Catholics in terms of dogma(practise incorporates many native practices-Day of the Dead). This Catholicism gives them instant white status in the large cities of the the Catholic Northeast, Midwest where much of the population is. It is in the small towns of the Midwest and South which tend to be Protestant where the most hostility to immigration reform resides(real americans). I didn't include the Southwest, most of the Mountain states and Californnia because the relationship is far different due to history(they were part of Mexico for most of their European history not the US).

Sarah trying to parse this given the hatred of real americans for these people is going to be interesting.

GreenLadyHere has pointed out an article from no less than David Frum, pointing out what we already know – that women have had Caribou Barbie's number from nearly DAY ONE, and THEY are the reason she'll never get the nomination, let alone win in 2012.
