M.C. Steal Moe Dee set the GOP back about five years with minority voters. The guy is a buffoon who is busy trying to pimp his 2 year post to be seen in as many places as possible. Worse, he is busy trying to compare himself to the POTUS, when he's been stripped of his purse strings, his meager leadership within the RNC and can't even finish the gop.com website.

GOP voting against Sotomayor=Hispanic outreach FAIL!

I actually think a third or fourth party would more likely be a fringe party not a centrist party. You are likely to see ultra-liberals or ultra right-wingers break off. When centrists or moderates get fed up they just vote for the other party. That's why you see the GOP embracing their crazy base instead of distancing themselves from them. The GOP lost the enthusiasm of their base. The Democratic base on the other hand was fired up. The moderate so called independents just went with what looked like a winner and voted for Obama because they were tired of the GOP. When a party fractures, it's the base that leaves or stays home.

Black people are not "dying" to run to the GOP because the Republican Party DOES NOT LIKE black people.

Period.

Individual Republicans? Sure. The Republican Party as a whole? No.

What will hurt both the GOP and the DEMs is if a VIABLE third party comes along and swipes the independents and a big chunk of the non-white vote.

The Dems know we aint fleeing to the Republicans and the Republicans know they can win elections without the black vote. That's why they were trying so hard to reach out to Hispanics, until the GOP began having Lou Dobbs, Rush Limbaugh and their anti-Hispanic ilk speak for the party.

A viable third party needs to rise up. That's the only way both parties will shake and quiver.

Well, I for one would welcome a TRUE opposition party instead of the current GOP which seems to oppose anything that will help "the little people" Black, White, Yellow, or Brown. If you look at the wackos on TV talking about socialism, they aren't the rich white trash, they are the poor white trash (the rich ones throw there money to the GOP, but are smart enough to not be found on videos marching around with signs of Obama's head superimposed on a witch doctor's body) who are afraid of anything different and who are actually fighting AGAINST their own interests.

The younger generation isn't "dying" to leave the Democratic Party, we largely agree with them on policy, we are "dying" for some Dems who have as much testicular fortitude as the Republicans. I may HATE that they do this, but the "GOP" is a minority party and they are somehow STILL controlling the debate, even with a majority of the American public consistently supporting Democratic policy. I think the Democrats kind of take the younger generation for granted too, but all the Republicans talk about is how much money we may have to pay in taxes. Newsflash: we don't mind paying taxes, they are going to take them from us regardless, so if we have to PAY the damn taxes, we'd rather have those taxes be for something that will actually HELP US (like health care reform) instead of just bailing out CEOs who will continue to give themselves outrageous bonuses (in that, the teabaggers had a pretty good argument, too bad the sales people they put out there are crazy).

So instead of taking a chance and reaching out to people who would otherwise be disinterested in the GOP, they are "clinging" to guns and religion aka their rapidly dwindling base and praying that the Dems fuck it up so badly that more people will forget who initially fucked everything up and decide to give them another chance without them having to change a damn thing.

Personally, I'm ready for a truly viable third party.

Lord I hope this entire post was snark. Even if it isn't this is the best laugh I have had in quite some time. The GOP giving up (and that is what they would have to do) their racist, xenophobic and anti-minority base if exchange for maybe 25%-33% of the black vote? Yeah, right. They couldn't even vote for the first Latina Supreme Court Justice to make a half-ass attempt at Hispanic outreach. Not even people like McCain and Hutchinson that represent states with huge Hispanic populations. Seriously, I am dying here. Let's look at the numbers for a minute. More then half of all current self-identified Republicans are so racist that they can't even acknowledge that the President was born in the United States. That's how racist they are. And guess what? That's a larger number of people then 25%-33% of the black vote. Even if the GOP is desperate for new voters, they aren't looking to exchange old voters for new voters who are fewer in number. Not anytime soon anyway. The last time a political party threw away it's base was the Democratic Party when LBJ signed the Civil Rights Act of 1964. He threw away white Southerners for us and it put them in the minority for the last 44 years. We've been in a conservative era since Nixon for that little trade. You think the GOP will do that? They don't even have the compelling moral argument of something like Civil Rights. The modern GOP exists as it is due to the Civil Rights Movement. They aren't giving up racists for a minority percentage of a minority, because believe me a large influx of minority voters into the GOP means and exodus of all of those bigots and there are still more them, then there of us. Please, this isn't happening anytime soon. If the GOP "rolls back into relevancy" it will be because white middle America isn't a reliable constituency for either party and they swing back and forth all of the time. It won't have jack shit to do with us and it won't have to anytime soon. The GOP knows that full well. As far as an Obama of their own......that's who Bobby Jindal was supposed to be, dontcha know?

I'm looking forward to someone's argument about what will happen when the GOP becomes relevant and starts really going after the Muslim American vote. I suppose they'll find their own magical candidate named "Hussein" one day too. They will surely be able to do that and hold onto all of the anti-Muslim xenophobes in their party. LOL!!!!
