Whining about a lack of socialism and/or a return to the caliphates doesn't mean western Europe isn't reeling from socialist redistribution policies. A dictionary review should help you with “socialist”. The Marx spin is probably most apt.

This is all a part of A-Merry-Ca's built in traditional national institutionized RACIALISM. The American mentality goes something like this, “If you got a Negro in charge, you better keep your eye on him, cause he might do something sneaky or screw up in some other way. Whatever you do, don't trust him!” I certainly expected to see the white bigots publicly engaging in this kind constant distrust of everything the President does. But I must admit I am surprised that black folks are starting to join in along with the white bigots in questioning every personal; thing that the President does. The reasoning in your argument is faulty. The left is receding but not gone. The conservatives have inched forward to fix the mess; they were VOTED in. The Nanny-state is and will be in full effect though. Class-warfare never ends, and we are only just getting started in America.

Like I posted earlier, the collective whine of the right wing and LEFT wing. Stop all the concerned trolling and righteous indignation, it just makes you look petty and small. Not a good look.

I think the people who post on this site are well aware that Obama is a man not the second coming. So turn that frown into a smile, those lemons into lemonade, put those worries away into the worry jar, take a deep breath and exhale . . .

I doubt the the Oslo committe determines the winner of Nobel Peace Prize by doing concise quantitative comparsions of the nominees. Atmospherics, especially today, do play a part in the determination of the winner for this award.

Who is to say who sacrificed more, who suffered more, who accomplished more, who is more worthy? Are we going to impose a point system on the committee? Four points for house arrest, 20 points for 10 or more years in prison, bonus points if a family member is killed in service to the cause. I mean really?

But I am sure the committe took notice of these actions by Obama:

1. Dropped the Missle Defense to which Russians responded by canceling their deployment of Iskander short-range missiles in the Kaliningrad region of the country (baby steps, baby steps)

2. Convened and began action at the UN on complete global nuclear disarmament – that included getting the Iranians to the table and getting them to agree to stop enrichment of fissile materials

3. Announced the United States will FINALLY sign onto the Nuclear Test Ban Treaty and the Fissile Materials Treaty (international treaty that prohibits the further production of weapons-grade uranium and plutonium)

But at the end of the day it is the Nobel committee's decision, you do not have to agree with their decision but it still stands. All the hand-wringing, concerned trolling, snot slinging, hatin', and second guessing is not going to change this one simple fact. . .President Barack Obama, is the winner of the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize.
