I don't like Larry Johnson, either. I knew he made some anti-gay slurs. It was not a very big story and I'm sure most non sports fans knew nothing about Johnson or the slurs. That's one of the reasons this "satire" failed.

The other reason is the gratutious use of "fag" and the various meanings it might have had to allegedly stupid Larry Johnson. C'mon if Johnson is so stupid, how would he know that the Brits refer to cigarettes as "fags."

This was bad, not the worse, but bad. I didn't find it particularly homophobic, it was just bad.

Isn't satire supposed to make fun of the subject, in this case Larry Johnson? I didn't feel that he was making fun of Larry Johnson. The hook establishing Larry Johnson's stupidity was missing. That said, it was a shallow meditation on the meaning of the word “fag”, which Guns3000 alludes to below.

You know what I clicked on this post and I saw Larry Johnson's face(I really don't like that guy even before this fag issue). Then I read the first paragraph and I spazzed out. I logged out and and I came back saw your response then I read the article again. I think I screwed up on this one. I guess this is satire. I'll take back the garbage and the worse post ever comment. I don't know if I would write a satire article on LJ though.
