I phone banked tonight for Organizing for America to build support for health care reform. We called OFA members. The script included a question about whether or not the person supported the public option. The folks I talked had a range: most supporting health care reform and some for public option. Most wanted to get this done.

The only exception was a person who made it his business to inform me that he's been in this business a long time and is a state committeeman and BO needed to do what Hilary did, except better. I know that he was a solid Hilary supporter and just can't seem to recover.

This is the future of the USA medical care and especially without the public option...

insurance companies now "incentivize" non emergency surgery...the future is that insureds may not have a choice..check out all medical tourism websites and all will see why insurance companies are salivating at making us travel to third world countries for "health care."

Baucus was aiming for bipartianship and he got it, bipartisian disapproval of his bill. He keeps saying he thinks he'll get republican support when they finally vote on the bill. Baucus has the charisma of a door knob. You'd think when he is presenting his bill that he's been working on for months, he'd be more convincing it was good.

The only good thing is that the process is moving forward and by the republicans refusing to support the bill the democrats can move to amend the bill more to their liking. If any repubs had supported it today, the dems hand would be forced.

Forget the PUBLIC OPTION. It's history now. ObamaCare is probably going to fail also, as it should. A majority of Americans don't want any of the Dems versions. Even the Dems don't like their own versions - Harry Reid: Health care bill won’t work for Nevada, and Dem Senator Warns of 'Big, Big Tax' on Middle Class in Baucus Bill (Sen. Jay Rockefeller).

Obama should've stuck to his Community Organizer, where he was able to rip-off the poor...
