Just to show that it's not all that simple, at this point, I'm shocked that the right hasn't used the best weapon they have to make Carter look significantly less credible in the eyes of the public. I can't imagine why they haven't used it. I also wonder what would have happened if we'd all decided to permanently dismiss Jimmy Carter as a punkass selfish white liberal when "it" happened.

Yes, Jimmy Carter is a good man, and Jimmy Carter is right. It must be hard to stand up knowing that your manhood has once again be "given up" for a bunch of people who are using you as a puppet. I did notice that I haven't seen the usual suspects on TV as pundits for repugnats lately. They have had to come up with some Black women lately who have joined the party lips to prove that they have equal right to suffer "Stockholm Syndrone" as the boys that have been speaking for the conservatives. I realize that the President wants to move on with his agenda and these things are used to sideline his program. But I am really sick of the crackers getting away with anything they choose to do and nobody saying anything about it. I think that President Carter spoke up because of all this "supposedly shocked" folk who can't believe that racism has anything to do with the ploys that are used to derail the president's policies. I also realize the thinking that you will not let them pull you down to their level by acknowledging their pranks and nasty racist tactics used to derail policy. But some of these real racists are getting their rocks off with this stuff. President Carter was right and he had the right to say what he felt as well as those dirty racists have a right to say what they want. Whether the president wants to weight in on it or not. Fox News and all of its people as well as the wing-nuts need to be faced by someone. He can't do it so there are those who will do it. I am happy for that fact.

I am beyond being surprised at anything that Steele does.
