I know you didn't say it...I did.

If you wanna talk about drugs vs. violence when it comes to usuage, your response still comes up short, since despite usuage being lower amongst blacks vs. whites..blacks STILL have disporportionate VIOLENCE.

If you think the commentary is inaccurate rebut it, otherwise look up the facts to support your opposing views.

If you need stats, since you are a long time poster...google them.
I don't do research for well known facts.

There is definitely a dialogue about this in some black outlets. And I don't have any issue with Rev. Al. When a few thugs down here in Miami shot into a crowd of people with an AK-47 he came down called the people “sellouts” who knew something and didn't tell the police. It justs get frustrating when you see the best of us making a difference in our communities and the worst of us are destroying it.

You're right Guns…but we need soooooo much more than just symbolic marches….there needs to be a seismic shift on so many levels and the first place where it begins is in the home…….and the sense of community needs to be restored.
We are disconnected as a people from each other, not to mention Americans in general.

I have no idea why Hitler hated anyone who wasn't a part of his agenda. I have no idea where Obama was born. Hitler's history is too old now to trace his citizenship, records were not really kept that well or what was that government building called where it was burned to the ground, did it hold all the important documents? Obama's history is still traceable, as it is of this generation. Facts are of the most important things to believe, nothing more, nothing less. It is enlightening to know of governments approvals for the Rothschild's to take our monies, 100% of our taxes pay the interest alone on the loans from the Federal Reserve Bank. The CEO of General Electric, which owns NBC, also sits on the New York Federal Reserve Board of Directors. How can this person Jeffery Immelt be a CEO of G.E. and sit on NYFed Reserve Bank Board of Directors, and have the public's best interest at heart. Conflict of interest, as a CEO his number 1 priority is for his shareholders of G.E., which is to always increase profits. Something smells rotten in Denmark. I'm not trying to discredit anyone, but, fair is fair. If they are wheeling and dealing with our monies, shouldn't we be the ones to say how it goes in the deal. After all it is our money. The government takes money from us through loans from the Feds, and we pay for it. Not fair. I'm just trying to raise awareness of this terrible robbery of everyone in America. Not to place blame on

I hear you Monie. Every black person who commits a crime doesn't represent me but Jena 6 should be a shining example of what we are capable of when we say ALL stand up and say, “ENOUGH!” Because a very small percentage of knuckleheads in the black community are committing most of the crimes. If those residents TOOK TO THE STREETS like we do with racial issues we could change things for the better.

You know why I am concerned about ALL communities.....because my neighbor beside me IS white, my neighbor across the street IS Asian....mass shootings in schools and public places have been perpertrated by people of all stripes where I am from.....and so I know ANYONE is capable of anything.

My father never feared for his life during the 70s as a young man by another black man...he had a weapon drawn on him by 2 white men who called him a nigger while unarmed while he mistakenly trusted them to give him a ride.

Yes, violence is huge in our communities, but no one or nowhere is immune. And that IS still the truth.

A lot has eroded in OUR communities...but the same can be said about America as a whole....and that's the point I want to make.

Life is simple not valued or regarded much anymore.

I did not say is was not disproportionate......and I don't know how long you've been reading here at JJP, but I have never been an excuse maker for violence in black nor non-black communities...so pump ya brakes.

I understand Guns 3000's point........but my point is that I feel "marches" in the name of a cause ...like Jenna 6 or whatever else, is often counterproductive sadly because it brings attention and a mediastorm to what will wind up becoming a "passing" story and then nothing else results from it.

Every black person who commits a murder does NOT represent me personally, anymore than Timothy Mc Veigh represents white males, or the Virginia Tech killer represents Asian-Americans. There are more illicit drug users in this country who are white, but yet Black people make up the majority of those convicted and associated with crimes of drugs.

Unfortunately, Black people ARE painted with the broad brush and the media follow suits.......but the truth still remains the American culture is violent PERIOD. Violence often breeds in harsher circumstances and communities. And like anything else, those who have it the hardest feel it and experience it the hardest and that is black folks.

And please....give data next time to back up your claims....I just happen to be interested in where others find their data.

There is violence everywhere but I'm not worried about everywhere. I'm concerned what happens in my community with people that look like me. You can stick your head in the sand and say “this happens in ALL communities of America” but there is a violence problem in the black community and it's something that has to be dealt with.

You can never ignore racism but my issue is with the RESPONSE to problems. We can fix black on black crime in the black community if we wanted to. If millions of blacks took to the streets and said, “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH” and helped the authorities get these animals(yes i said it) off the street there would be change. The blogs were on FIRE with the Imus comments. The blogs were on FIRE with Prof. Gates. Where's Jesse Jackson on this? He was all over the news when allegedly some stripper was raped at Duke by a few white men. When I know for sure if her alleged attackers were black Jesse would've been somewhere impregnating his mistress. The point I am making if it was a bunch of white guys that stomped that kid's brains out the black community would respond. What is going to be the response to this?
