His 10th season was off to a good start. And then, it was over.

Chicago's star linebacker went on injured reserve after having surgery Monday to repair a dislocated right wrist and will not be back this season, a major blow for a team with high expectations.

There was no immediate word from Urlacher other than a text message to the Chicago Tribune that said simply: "season is over." But coach Lovie Smith said Urlacher clearly was disappointed.

He just needs to retire. The body, especially when it's that big, can only take so much.

It was a tribute, indeed, Justice. Even though I ain't much on Madonna(and her remarks came perilously close to 'but of course, it's all about me'), she was OK. The main attraction was the dance montage of 'Thriller', 'Bad' and 'Smooth Criminal' with the videos playing behind the dancers. Then, the video of 'Scream' came on, Miss Jackson appeared, and sang her part and danced live with her brother on video.

I thought Cutler was supposed to be the difference maker for the Bears....this game is an offensive nightmare. I hate to say it, but I think the Bears killed Devin Hester. He hasn't been the same since they tried to make him into a #1 receiver.

I gotta tell you D (funny thing - that's my nickname in real life) that last year, when the Bears didn't make a play for Brett Favre and the Packers were treating him like 8-day moldy bread, my prediction for both teams was that they would spend the playoffs bloggin' from their mama's basement. Since I've moved from the City to the East Bay I should really try to like the Raiders. But I just can't. Maybe it's because a guy hit me at a Niner/Raider game when I cheered for a Niner's score. Add/Drops are easy if you are using Yahoo. No one has to accept the trade if they are free agents. Just pick up an available player and drop the one you don't want.

I'm in a Yahoo league with friends and fam. Not a bad roster (got Peyton and he's always good to sling it for 250+) but Andre Johnson did not perform well for me. I drafted TO because even though he's "special" with the locker room politics, he gets his touches. Hoping he'll have a decent night against the Pats tomorrow night.

Does yahoo do it for the defensive players too? I know some fantasy games do. I know I dont know how to really keep up with it but I had a co-worker pick the Ravens defense last year and got a free lunch because it did really well. You cant go wrong with that defense though.

Forget a QB, if I could start my own team, my first pick is Ed Reed or Troy Polamalu.
