The bible and the Koran do not support the act of independent thought. They tell people WHAT to think. They attempt to impose belief. Those religious texts do not encourage you to observe, then come to your own conclusions.
Also, no one said Obama should “save” blacks.. Indeed, what he is currently doing is running full tilt AWAY from what is REASONABLE for him to accomplish in the service of social justice.
I agree that the antidote to racism is a firm belief in one's fundamental equality. Obama, however is not supporting this by repeating the mantra of absent black fathers(though statistics don't support)..and breaking his silence to verbally slap a lame, drunk rapper..while simpering to the obscene right wing.
I never thought I'd say this..but I find him an embarrassment. If I think of the most negative thing I could have believed about candidate Obama…it turns out that he has EXCEEDED that hypothetical low expectation.

Slapping that ignorant untalented rapper is not parenting (a thing he did because he really care. For example Your parents give such interest they give you to strangers?), is not caring?
Your views mirror those by 70's so called “BLACK” militants, to me they are responsible for the amnesia that plagues afro-americans.
… And by ignoring that politician is the highest signal of strength. You know in politics cowards like to pretend instead of being.
The BEST thing Obama can offer afro-americans IS his courage and HIGH morals, a thing no other USA president dignified, at least James Balwin said so.

I am merely a commenter on a site…an interested, disinterested party, if you will. Obama is The President, and commenting harshly on Kanye, who lost his mother not long ago, and who really just looked pathetic up there on that stage, was not a fair fight.

I hope this puts this “fair and balanced” schtick in its final resting place. Giving airtime to these wacky propositions is plain comedy. You know in the back of your mind that these scare tactics don't exactly register with the general public. Now, there are some actual figures to back that up…SMH!

Probably a glitch. I remember when I was a kid, I was watching cartoons one morning (snow day) and a Lucky Charms commercial came on during the break. Someone must have pushed the repeat button 'cause it played over and over for about 5 minutes…o_O
