A better application of “Progressive-Fundamentalism” would be to not focus upon Obama who is “one politician” but rather to focus on the MACHINE which is leaning on him to do “all things Progressive”.

I don't believe that Obama has “sold out” since taking office. He, more than his left wing base, is forced to see that there are consequences to making certain moves that seemed appleaing on the campaign trail.

It is my opinion that a good portion of the disappointment that is currently suffered among this left wing base is due to the fact of their unattachment to any particular set of legislative processes, and again, the consequences of making such abrupt changes.

As for me – my scrutiny of the “Progressive-Fundamentalist” is focused on the areas where they've gotten theri way, assuming political power and have implemented their policies. Great promise was to be expressed in the schools, on the streets in the work places. WIth them in solid control these points were implemented.

When the results did not turn out as expected many of you simply “Expanded the Police Tape” as you expanded the crime scene. It became the “state's fault” or the “federal government's neglect” that caused the city that is in your hands to falter. Only total control over all of the variables that bear upon you and complete suppression of your enemy will afford you the final victory.

I agree that the Progressive have expressed more vocally THE INTENTION of helping the general welfare of the people.

However – INTENTIONS do not translate into EFFECTIVE RESULTS upon the streets. Go look at the University of Wisconsin study of hotspots on African-American unemployment. Not surprisingly – where we live in our highest concentrations – the unemployment rates are highest.

Unfortunately few will also factor in for the prevailing ideology and policies that are present in these same areas. Uniformly these areas are dominated by Progressives and Democrats. It is ONLY WHEN our people begin to focus upon the PERMANENT INTERESTS and the policies necessary to actually have them expressed rather than what feels most comfortable to you as an ideological preference during your time of aggrievement will the necessary policy prescriptions be adopted to turn INTENTIONS into EFFECTIVE RESULTS.

My definition of Fundamentalism is to have beliefs and biases so strong that no amount of evidence on the street to the contrary will afford one the ability to alter their core assumptions in pursuit of their ultimate goal above the retention of their present beliefs.

Instead of “Keeping Conservatives On Trial” it might be a worthy exercise to do some introspection. Incumebency of a power must translate into accountability of that same power.
