No, the guys who got caught were the former ACORN leader (and founder) Wade Rathke, whose brother stole almost a million dollars, and on whose watch the organization transferred taxpayer dollars intended for poor people to ACORN's political operations.

As for the videos, is arguing “the guy who caught me offering to help him with his sex slave operation, caught me in a highly unethical manner!” REALLY the way you want to go?

Bertha Lewis, Juan Carlos Vera, and Katherine Conway Russell are all requesting for the “entire” videos taped to be shown and the “edited” version. If there is confidence as to the veracity of the snippets presented on teevee as “evidence” by the “film makers” they should release them. When the “entire” video is reviewed a determination will be made as to the “intent” of taped individuals.

I can't name names; I'm not involved with ACORN and I don't know. The names you want to see will be coming out in discovery, and in the audit that's about to come down on the organization.

I couldn't tell you the names of the corrupt cops in the NYPD, either. But I'm pretty sure they exist.

1. It's not an article, it's an opinion piece. 2. It's an opinion piece by John Fund...John Fund. 3. If it's not an outright lie, then it's at least a perfect example of right-wing distortion. I don't know that ACORN sued California over that 14 years ago, but if they did, they had to have sued for an exemption from California's minimum wage. When Fund just says "minimum wage", the person who doesn't really think about it will assume that they sued from exemption from the Federal minimum wage. Obviously, they can't sue the state of California for exemption from the federal minimum wage.
