I am a white gun guy from the Chicago suburbs. I do know the origins of gun control in the US; they were Jim Crow laws to keep guns out of the hands of blacks. But, it didn't stop in the 1800s. The gun control laws passed after the deaths of MLK and Bobby Kennedy were ALL about keeping guns from blacks to minimize/control the rioting.

Two movies I highly recommend:

"Deacons for the Defense" about black churchs in the south organizing armed defense against the kkk. Fr Phleger should be doing this against the street gangs in Chicago. Do further searches on these groups; fascinating true stories.

"No Guns for Negroes" about the true history of gun control in the US.

You can find them through Google.

Don't worry about guys in Idaho; worry about the criminal gangs in your own neighborhood. Buy a gun, stock up on ammo, get training and practice that training. If you are in a state that allows it (anywhere other than Illinois or Wisconsin), get a concealed carry permit. Exercise your right to self-defense.

Most important, don't allow your government to take away your right to own and use a gun in self-defense. Call your state and federal representatives and senators and say no to gun control.

Cliche time: its not gun control, its people control.

You may be right, but I will tell you this I have a couple of highschool buddies and all of us have been out purchasing fire arms and have not had any trouble yet. Arm yourself so you will be able to protect your family, I have been watching this for a few months and from what I gather the enemy has already started taking steps for there so called revolution. As far as I am concerned every brotha and sista should feel threatend by these responses.

They way they howl about “gun control,” you wouldn't know that gun control in the US began right after the Civil War as a way of keeping black men from the “right to keep and bear arms.”

Later the laws were written so as to be 'race neutral,' but of course they were disproportionately enforced against black people (like, what ain't?)

Now that would be some good on the ground reporting. What happens when Blacks show up and buy a shit load of guns.
