I feel for the president; he has so many fractions against him--the Blue Dogs, Progressives, the Left, and Republicans...people whining about losing trust in him, even though he has only been in office seven months. I hear some say they wish Hillary was in office, well, I saw SICKO again last night and the same jackals that are against Obama were against Hillary. The president is a very smart man and I try to understand his reasoning before passing judgment. I really believe the president is playing the opposition like a fiddle. He asks them over and over to come on board and work with him and they refuse; this is a smart strategy because they will have no reason to blame democrats for partisanship when the HCR bill is taken over and passed.

The reason Bush got everything he wanted is due to the Blue Dogs who told him whatever he wanted to do he could count on them. I beginning to wonder if Dems know how to rule. When you know what is needed to set things right you just go ahead and push it though. I didn't vote for republicans because I was tired of the crap that had been handed us. All of a sudden people are talking about leaving debts to their grandchildren. They didn't worry about the debt that was being made when the repub. lied and sent our people off to invade and occupy a country that had done nothing to us, except be used by us when America wanted an ally against Iran. But now when it about doing the right thing for Americans and Healthcare, everybody's becoming a damn financial analysis. Yet not one of them have raised up to question what happened to all the money spent for items for the military that no one can find. We need this public option. And I am sick and tired of people telling me about socialized medicine and how it works in Great Britian. I used that healthcare and I liked it. Most of the people who critize it have never used it, Hell they have never even been to Great Britian. This country has been run by a bunch of ignorant, narrrow minded people long enough and I didn't vote for this administration to allow these same people to run this country farther into the ground. I'm sick of them and their stupid reasoning. Like that stupid woman who was on the show of hardball talking about she wanted to keep her insurance with a $5,000.00 deductible. What fool, with or without ,children wants an insurance with that kind of deductible? That's just stupid. We need Healthcare reform with a public option and that's all there is to it.

You are exactly right. I beginning to wonder if Dems know how to rule. I live in the 1st district of MS. We have a blue dog dem that got there on fluke. During the democratic primaries last year, many republicans switched parties to vote for HRC (remember Rush's Operation Chaos?). Since these repubs switched parties, they couldn't participate in the repub primary to fill Wicker's seat. In a nut shell, the candidate who won the repub primary was less conservative than the democratic candidate, so the democratic candidate won the seat. This dem, Childers, has voted consistantly against Obama--the buget, the stimulus, etc..

There is no way we can replace Childers with a more progressive candidate in northern MS. In fact, Childers could very well lose his seat to a republican challenger. I think we progressives need to be a bit more realistic--or, God forbid, pragmatic.

That's a lot easier said than done, EdnaMae.
