If the current for-profit health insurance system screws you, screw the system.
Bankruptcy is a reasonable option. I am a breast cancer (1999 and again in 2007)survivor and I also have Multiple Sclerosis (since 1982). I maintained private insurance (Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield) until 1993. As I got sicker and sicker, they raised my rates and had the nerve to reimburse for less and less. Finally, I could no longer pay. I went uninsured, with MS until, 1999, when I developed breast cancer. I am now on Medicaid and that is the reason I am still alive.

I declared bankruptcy twice, once in 1987, and again in 2005 (before the financial industry paid House and Senate voted for the now draconian bankruptcy laws took effect.)

Bankruptcy is a viable option given that the for profit health industry finds it more profitable to deny care and cause your death than to provide health care and have you live.
A broken system deserves NO loyalty.
