The fact that this judge is being challenged in Texas is a miracle in and of itself. Horrible injustices in Texas' criminal justice system should have raised questions long before this case. DP advocacy warrants a bottle of something every day.

I have posted the future projected outlays to Medicare at JJP several times in the past. Please go to the AARP website for that information – the information is from the Medicare Trust Fund. It also shows how much that taxes must be increased to meet future outlays.
The Baby Boomers have been paying for the Medicare good times and the Social Security good times. Now its your turn to pay.

Ok Did a little research went to the heritage foundation which is porn for the wingnuts and went to a non partisan site from Canada and frankly no one really knows what the future outlays for Medicare will be.I would say this though, if you are paying 1200 a month to Blue cross and if we agree that at least half that money is for profits why not every worker pay half that raise the payroll tax 2% and instead of having the cutoff for paying at 96,000 raise that to “I dont know “all earned income wouldn't that pay for Medicare for all.

A Texas judge who closed her court before a death row inmate's last-minute appeal was complete testified in her misconduct trial Wednesday that she would do the same thing again.

Judge Sharon Keller, whose career is on the line with this misconduct trial, was asked whether she would take the same action if she got the same phone call again under identical circumstances.

She said, "Yes, that is correct."

Lawyers for convicted killer Michael Wayne Richard had asked for more time to file an appeal on the day of his execution. They sought a reprieve based on a Supreme Court decision that morning to review whether Kentucky's means of lethal injection was constitutional.

Keller received a phone call at 4:45 p.m. asking to keep the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals open past 5 p.m. She said no twice in the conversation, which lasted less than two minutes.

You did not deal with point #3 – that the Medicare Trust Fund will be out of money in 8 years without a significant increase in taxes and this will cause a significant decrease in Medicare services. At the same time some in congress want to start a 1/2 funded health care entitlement that will get the other 1/2 of its funding from decreases in Medicare spending. Further, the only reason that Medicare works today is that the boomers are paying the freight but once the boomers retire then the ponzi scheme will collapse unless taxes are raised from a 2.9% payroll tax to at least 5%. Do you support such a tax increase?

I will take point #4. If as you say if medicare has a 10% fraud rate with a 4% administrative cost thats 14% of out of pocket expenses.Now the private health insurance industry has 18% administrative costs and we know there is fraud but I dont have the numbers offhand but lets say since they are so efficient 4% fraud rate.Now lets add it up. Gov. run 14% the private sector 22% Now when you talking about 1/6 of our economy wouldn't 8% savings add up to real money? Where is Rob when I need him.
