It has to be hard for a black man to lead today’s Republican party as it moves further and further to the right, but with that said, Michael Steele has proved to be an embarrassment and needs to stop talking. Although the selection of Steele as the chairman of the RNC had a “we’ll see your black man and raise you our black man” feel to it, I was hopeful that it was a signal that the Republican party was headed in a more moderate direction. Since then, however, Michael Steele has made a series of stereotypical, and frankly clownish comments presumably intended to appeal to young people and minorities, but that instead make him sound like an out of touch white man in blackface.

I find that last line funny, because I was just questioning whether he's really just a white man in blackface a couple of days ago. . . LOL. Michael Steele is rather embarrassing overall, and he's also pretty damn insulting to me when he tries to use “slang” I guess to appeal to Black folks.
