The Democratic party needs to do the same thing; i.e. have a war room.
It has become a critical issue for the party if they intend to control the legislative agenda. The failure to do so has allowed media distractions to effect their ability to put forth their vision(it is worth asking if they have one outside of Twain's quip about being organized. Look at what happened in regard to the healthcare plan. They have lost the media battle to explain how it works for the public. Perhaps it is just because they spent over two hours just being <educated> about the healthcare bills(yesterdays WAPO) themselves.
Education is important because too many members of congress forget that we have a republican form of democracy, i.e. members of Congress represent groups of people. People vote for them in theory because they expect them to use good judgement. Part of using good judgement is educating your constituency about legislation: how does it effect them, what you think is good/bad about it, how it effects the country. They do not do this either indidvidually or in groups. Now that they have began this education for themselves they need to do it for the public.
This is where the war room is of the utmost important. When Congress goes on vacation many members think they can have townhalls in their districts to educate their consitituents. Due to the exigencies of life most will not attend. they will watch the news where the focus will be on the "so called leadership". The Republicans will have a controlled contained message of why you shouldn't have healthcare reform. The Democrats will present the tower of Babble, repleat w/ drooling, wide eyes of fear and dry mouth yapping when they finally reply. the result will be further oppostion to something I know will benefit the whole country.
So let's work to get a war room going. Nothing is more important than one's health. Without it you're not going to accomplish much

Even if it is BS, it is an attempt to control their message(whatever it is, whatever you thik about it). After the big build up you provided about how dynamic the site was I expected to be blown away. I've seen better --- heck I can get better quality photos on daylife.

If she is the prof journalist & political geek why wouldn't she be able to produce this site. Clearly the writer has an ego, probably connections and I guess plenty of time.

Now personally I am not a fan of the CBC - never have been - however why question she is anything more than a passionate supporter of them and just like many of us Obama supporters created nice websites, she did too?

Frankly I can't imagine that pack of bozos having enough sense to pay someone to blog for them.

Now what really suprises me is how average the quality of photos are on the blog. given she is part owner of a photography site you would think she would have sharp crisp shots --- JJP runs much better ones.

Hey who's paying you guys......LOL

Can't say that I agree w/your assessment.
