I read an account of what happened when Clinton visited Ghana, it was a large affair. The article I read said that one of the reasons that Obama isn't doing a larger arena for his speech is because of the logistical nightmare that was the Clinton speech, and rightly so, they believe that a speech by the first African american President of the United States would be even bigger.
