I kid you not. I traveled to Nigeria in 2002. I literally feared for my
life, just traveling through some of the towns.

They had roadblocks set up to trap tourist. Boards with nails laid in the
roads to flatten car tires, and of course they were armed.

The same guards who set the traps would charge folks for fixing the flats.

Just plain dirty and evil and corrupt.

Say it again, Spirit. Obama was sending a clear message to Africa: Start with the man/woman in the mirror instead of blaming everything on YT. Sure, colonialism is to blame for the current state of the continent, but black-on-black corruption is just as much to blame.

And the same thing applies to US in the U.S. .

Saw this last night. Of course Micahel Moore was right on the MONEY.

That's why they try to VILIFY him.

Folks can say what they want about Ed Schultz, but he knows what these MOFOs are all about. Love it when he invites his guest to travel to Toronto and ask the citizens about their healthcare.... No takers thus far, and NO surprise.

I'm not a big hair person. To me it's just hair. I mean, mine is as straight as possible. I sometimes wish it had more 'curl' – more oomphf – but then I'm also lazy when it comes to hair, so it's probably better that way. Most often all I think when I see anyone's braided, corn rowed, dreads, curly – is about all the time it took to do it that way. Way too long for me. In Cleveland, a couple of housemates would do cornrows. Jesus Christ! I couldn't sit still for the hours that took; I mean, I can barely sit still long enough to get my hair cut. So, I'm pretty sure my butt would get numb.

Now I did see a kid (probably 15 or so) wearing a short 'mohawk' type do with this pretty turquoise coloring, yesterday, riding his bike. Now – that caught my attention for a minute. 'Cuz all I can think is – it's just hair.

I agree, and also why does Obama owe Nigeria a visit. By visiting Ghana and its recent peaceful transfer of power, he is sending out a good message that many countries need to hear.

Nigeria is full of crooks, plain and simple.

they've collected over 450 billion in oil revenue over the past 15 years. And oil is only ONE of the resources that they have in abundance in that country.

no way in hell should they be where they are.

I'll say it...if an Asian country had the natural resources that Nigeria has...

you can fill in the blanks.

only thing halfway holding China back is that it has NO natural resources. they would be terrifying if they actually had any. which is why they're marching across Africa, country by country, buying up what they don't have, while the US is stuck in their ' White Privilege' mentality.

Make sure you get one of the good ceramic ones like Chi and watch the heat settings, you don't want it too hot or it will burn your hair. They may be expensive, but they are worth the money.

Umm… I've never thought about using a flat iron on my Afro. I've never used a flat iron.
