When the NAACP was not so STRANGELY SILENT..its members would have been at the forefront in the FIGHT FOR A PUBLIC OPTION OR MEDICARE PART 'E' FOR EVERYONE! Then, they didn't need today's technology…and they STILL DON'T..anyone who says they do is lying. They called people, they got in cars and drove to demonstrations, they got busses, they WALKED FOR GOD'S SAKE!
WHAT HAPPENED…WHAT HAPPENED?

The NAACP used to be admired for it's ability to mobilze – and mobilize QUICKLY!
As I watch the demonstrations ( I refuse to call them 'rallies') going on throughout America, I keep asking: WHY IS THE NAACP SO STRANGELY SILENT IN IT'S SUPPORT? Ok, Call me crazy and suspicious, but why am I suspicious…that perhaps some NAACP 'leaders' are feeding at the INSURANCE TROUGH along with 'fake' Democrats like Max Baucus!!! THERE, I said it!

Dayo Olopade brought out a very good point about the failure of the NAACP to move their messaging system into the present. If Jimi Izrael is correct and the future of the NAACP lies w/ the local chapters what better way than a blog on the National level supporting the actions of the local chapters.

The NAACP would do well to focus on no more than 3 main issues. Three that come to mind are criminal justice (esp. death penalty cases), public education, and training a new generation of political activists.

Don't understand what's going on here, but it seem to be a generational gap. Last time I checked there were over 33M AA, is the complaint being made that the NAACP is not properly servicing all 33M AA? This dialog gives me Highlander flashbacks, There can only be one ,
