Actually, the cops can enter if they have “a reasonable belief” that a crime is being committed – which is a bullshit tactic that's used all the time.

See. This is why when you are black you do not open the door to the police. If they do not have a warrant, you do not have to talk to them nor allow them in your home.

That is where Gates went wrong. He knew he had broken no laws and therefore should have never, ever, ever, opened the door. He is lucky he is still alive.

Representative Maloney has apologized for using a quote with the N word:

"I apologize for having repeated a word I find disgusting," Maloney said in a statement.

You all have got to read the police report. This officer was straight ego trippin'. He admitted Gates showed him ID to prove he lived there, so that should've been the end of it. Instead, 5-0 calls Harvard U. police. For what? IF Gates was yelling at him, so what? He wasn't a threat to the officer, who was outside Gates' residence. It wasn't like Gates bumrushed him. Oh, that's right! Gates was calling him out in front of the other white folks! We can't have that now, can we!

One of the issues we have discussed before is the nature of governing. President Obama really put himself into a box when he came out in said we can't govern in anger in regard to the bonuses paid to AIG employees. There has to be a recognition that sometimes you need to be more aggressive and channel that anger. Putting on people whom are sick, have insurance and are denied by a bureaucrat from every congressional district is another way of putting heat on Democrats against public option.
