This is such a well written and timely article. It is such a shame that the rest of our world looks at our country in awe. They trip all over themselves when our President appears at conferences abroad and yet our own country is in so much turmoil because Mr. Obama is now our president. What a sad state of affairs for our nation. As I visit other websites it is sad as well as hurtful to see such hatred spewed in the words of the posters. I feel if these are the sentiments spewed for the President of the U.S., then what in the world does that mean for me. I had hoped that we were moving forward, and in a way, with the vote perhaps we have. Maybe the vote means that there are less of these people in the country. This man and his family embody everything that is preached about during campaign time. A loving marriage, two beautiful children, a very handsome and brillant man, who must have been a fantastic catch for any woman, but who didn't find it necessary to carry on in the fashion as these “holier than thous” who were standing out front fighting against him and are falling one by one in the public eye on guilty of the very things they profess to despise. I pray that God protects this president and his wonderful family and keep them safe from the evilness aimed at him in this country. What a sad state of affairs for America. However, again, thank you for the article. I enjoyed reading it and sharing it with my friends.

What bothers me about this story is only the policeman’s version is being reported which doesn’t hold water no matter how it’s carried. I don’t care if the professor jumped up and down and spat on the floor this is not a reason to arrest him. The question was, did professor Gates break and enter a house that was not his and the answer is no. What the MSM is not talking about is when professor Gates asked the policeman for his ID the policeman would not respond. Living in White upper class communities is still dicey; the attitude does not come from your neighbors it comes from the police, plumbers, electricians etc… The attitude is, “what are you doing living in this community, why aren’t you in the ghetto where you belong.” The other issue that bothers me is some White Americans are trying to insinuate that Black people hate them and they are suffering from reverse discrimination. Rush is lucky is his fallacious argument isn’t true or he would have been capped already.

Of course he could have shut it down. For one thing, he could have told him that the announcement was publiches in two papers, and the information was conveyed by the state health department…not the parents. But he didn't. He didn't want to quash it completely. They want to keep the controversy going.
