Just thought it was phenomenal. True? I don't know. MSM hasn't piicked up on it for sure.

Clinton: U.S. 'Doing Everything We Can' to Free Soldier From Taliban ABC Exclusive: Secretary of State Address North Korea, Iran And Captured U.S. Soldier
As Secretary of State Hillary Clinton takes her first overseas trip since breaking her elbow June 17, she faces a world of problems -- from Iran's nuclear ambitions to North Korea's unwavering threats to resistance against emissions caps in India.
The secretary of state downplays nuclear threat from North Korea. In an exclusive interview with ABC News this morning, Clinton said the clock for nuclear talks with Iran is ticking and downplayed North Korea's military threat, while contradicting her own apologies for the two journalists who have been sentenced in the country for trespassing.
Ben Nelson On Ads Run Against Him: They Could Kill Health Care Reform
Senator Ben Nelson (D-Neb.) lashed out Friday at the ads being run against his position on health care reform in his home state, saying they would backfire -- and might even derail the entire reform process.
In a statement issued late in the afternoon by Nelson's office, spokesman Jake Thompson warned that if the new series of ads calling out the Senator's "stalling" on reform were "an indication of the politics going into August, then health care reform may be dead by the end of August."
Plan to Pay Sick Nuclear Workers Unfairly Rejects Many, Doctor Says
Carla McCabe spent a decade building nuclear bombs at the sprawling Rocky Flats complex near Denver. When she developed a brain tumor and asked for help, federal officials told her that none of the toxic substances used at the top-secret bomb factory could have caused her cancer.
Now, on the eighth anniversary of the federal program created to help sick nuclear weapons workers, the man who until recently was the program's top doctor says that McCabe, now 55, and many others like her are being improperly rejected.
Baucus: "No Idea" How I'll Vote On Sotomayor (UPDATED)
UPDATE: Sen. Baucus, after saying he didn't know how he would vote, has now committed to supporting Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor.
"I have long said that to be a Supreme Court Justice a person must meet three main criteria: personal integrity, professional competence, and a view of important issues that is within the mainstream of contemporary judicial thought," Baucus said in a statement. "After personally meeting Judge Sotomayor, thoroughly analyzing her judicial record, and reviewing her nomination hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee, Judge Sotomayor unquestionably meets each of these criteria. Thus, I am proud to support her nomination and will vote to confirm her as a Justice to the United States Supreme Court."
A day after it was revealed that Bush administration strategist Karl Rove had played a greater role than previously acknowledged in the political purges of U.S. Attorneys, the Obama administration announced that it is nominating one of those Bush-era casualties back to his post.
On Friday, the White House announced the nomination of four U.S. Attorneys, including Daniel G. Bogden for the District of Nevada. Bogden's bio, as submitted by the White House, glossed over the controversial episode in which he lost his job several years ago. He was listed as "a partner in the Nevada law firm of McDonald Carano Wilson" who had "previously served as United States Attorney for the District of Nevada from 2001 to 2007."
But for those who followed the dismissal of U.S. attorneys in late 2006, Bogden's name is quite familiar. He was one of seven or eight U.S. attorneys who was dismissed by the Bush White House for what is widely believed to be political motivations, such as the unwillingness to investigate weak charges of voter fraud or political corruption.

Cantor Blames Liberal Media For Obama Birth Certificate Conspiracy
Eric Cantor Rips Chris Matthews, MSNBC, HuffPo, Liberal Bloggers For Inflating Birther Story
GOP Rep. Eric Cantor says he’s no birther — he has no questions about Obama’s citizenship, his spokesman tells me. But Cantor is placing the blame for the spread of birtherism not on its authors or on those politicians playing along with it, but rather on Chris Matthews, MSNBC, lefty news outlets and bloggers.
Asked for Cantor’s views on birtherism, his spokesman, Brad Dayspring, emailed me this:
“Mr. Cantor doesn’t question the President’s citizenship, but he has serious questions about the President’s push for government controlled healthcare, taxes on small business job creators, and a huge energy tax on middle class families. He finds it ironic that those most eager to talk about the President’s citizenship are in fact some of his biggest cheerleaders–whether it’s Chris Matthews or others on MSNBC, the Huffington Post, or camera toting liberal bloggers chasing people through the streets of Washington.”
Who is Cantor's dealer? I can make alot of money!!!

Excerpt: Sergeant Crowley, the sole class act in this trio, helps the handicapped Professor Gates down the stairs, while Barack Obama, heedless of the infirmities of his friend and fellow victim of self-defined racial profiling, strides ahead on his own. So who is compassionate? And who is so self-involved and arrogant that he is oblivious?
Mike Pence Caught Making Up Health Care Numbers On MSNBC (VIDEO)
Yesterday, on MSNBC, Republican Conference Chairman Rep. Mike Pence (Ind.) went on the air with Carlos Watson to discuss the House's health care reform bill. Pence used the occasion to do what he's done in the past: straight up make stuff up! On this occasion, Pence attempted to peddle some phony CBO figures:
PENCE: We don't need this administration and House Democrats, even with the changes that have been negotiated in their deal, are intent on doing, and that is launching a massive, new, government-run insurance plan that will [mean] literally nearly a trillion dollars in higher taxes at the outset... Watson jumped on the remark rather quickly, saying, "Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa ... unless you're looking at different data than I'm looking at, I don't remember there being a trillion dollars in new taxes." Asked to clarify his statement, Pence averred, "Yeah, I'm rounding up," later offering a $800 billion price tag.
House Health Bill Clears Last Committee Before Floor Vote, Recess
After nearly two weeks of delays, a health care bill passed the House Energy and Commerce Committee late Friday night, setting the stage for a full floor vote in the lower chamber -- but not for more than a month, as the House will be on vacation until Sept. 8.
The committee passed its reform bill 31 to 28, with five Democrats joining every Republican in voting no. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other Democratic leaders said at a press conference earlier Friday that they will spend much of their August recess working to reconcile the Energy and Commerce bill with the stronger bills passed by the Ways and Means and Education and Labor committees on July 17.

In the internet world isn't this news astounding? To me it all flys in the face of "objective journalism" in the United States and reinforces the need for media on the internet. I think the cable shows as well as the print media become even more suspect regarding honest objective news. They are owned by big corps.
Frankly, I have discontinued all subscriptions to print news and actually rely on blogs and international papers for most of my news.
In my very humble opinion this piece just gives more credence to Dan Rather. This just tells me that Olbermann is being muzzled. Read it and weep, all the more reason we need jjp!
"Both moguls expressed regret over the venomous culture between the two networks. Then — even though the feud had increased the viewing audience of both programs — they instructed lieutenants to arrange a cease-fire, according to three people who work at the companies and have direct knowledge of the deal."
"The government has allowed tremendous consolidation in ownership of the airwaves during the past decade. The large media players stand to gain billions of dollars in profits if the Obama administration continues to allow monopoly ownership of the airwaves by a handful of players. The media giants know who butters their bread. So there is a spoken or tacit agreement: if the media cover the administration in a favorable light, the MSM will continue to be the receiver of the government's goodies. Rather pointed out that “roughly 80 percent” of the media is controlled by no more than six, and possibly as few as four, corporations.
Thanks for commenting on this NYTimes article. This episode stinks of anti-trust and collusion. There needs to be a fucking congressional investigation if the CEOs of FOX and NBC are restraining the news content/journalistic values of Obermann & O"Reilly. Please re-post tomorrow.

You know, the Taiwanese love Americans and we have spent many many times there and know locals we consider friends. Beyond that I am not surprised this kind of business is there, but, it should in no way be shown as a slight to the Taiwan people.
Believe me, if you travel overseas, you soon appreciate where Americans are treated like friends and you will definitely be welcome in Taiwan.
I cherish the time I spent in Taiwan and frankly some of my favorite dining events happened in Taipei (no never at the toilet thing).
Actually this just reminds me of the humor of the Taiwanese. They are innovative!

Gossip trivia.
Did you know that Gloria Vanderbilt had 4 husbands (Sinatra, Brando, Hughes and Lumet) and that Sydney Lumet was also married to LenaHorne and is the grandfather of the child in Vanity Fair this month.
Not to mention that Vanderbilt is none other than Anderson Cooper's mom and the heiress to a vast railroad fortune.
Now you know why Cooper talks smack.
Sepia
Speaking of Lena, her granddaughter, Amy Lumet was married to P.J. O'Rouke.
Since we're gossiping, I heard that Amy is kinda on the ditzy side.
According to Wikipedia, Gloria Vanderbilt and Gordon Parks were "romantically involved".
Angelar
You said Sinatra, The Sinatra? I don't think so, Sinatra married four women according to public knowledge. If Vanderbilt and Sinatra were married, this opens a whole new chapter in the Sinatra bio.
Wife: Nancy Barbato Wife: Ava Gardner Wife: Mia Farrow Wife: Barbara Marx
I knew about the Anderson Cooper thing.
BlackButterfly
Actually Sidney Lumet was married to Lena Horne's daughter Gail.
whiterosebuddy
Damn...he was OLD to marry her daughter...Vanderbilt is 85! Well guess it was only 13 years, Lumet was born in 24 and Gail in 37. They married in 63

Who the baby daddy?

Wellll, Wyatt Cooper. Looking that up produced lots of interesting/conflicting info.
I got that from 3AUG NewYorker who is profiling her new book. While it is true she had 4 husbands, she actually had MORE.
Looks like she had seven husbands, Cooper and the first one name Pasquale ("Pat") DeCicco in 1941;[8] they divorced in 1945.[9]
Her second marriage, to conductor Leopold Stokowski in April 1945, produced two sons, Leopold Stanislaus "Stan" Stokowski, born in 1950, and Christopher Stokowski, born in 1952; they divorced in October 1955.
Followed by Lumet and the othe 4!
No wonder she wrote an Erotic novel...hehehehehee
hmmmm, interestingly...while NY lists Lumet, Hughes, Kelley and Brando as her four husbands...other accts conflict listing DeCicco, Stokowski, Lumet and Cooper as her 4 husbands.
Now how the hell they eff this up...sounds like undercover coverage...she had sons with Stolkowski and Cooper.
Cooper probably don't want all his momma's dirty laundry out there cause the NY show nuff lists Four other husbands..only one in common is LUMET who was also married to LenaHorne (which is why it caught my attention) supposedly Lumet tried to commit suicide after the their divorce. And she had to fight Stokowski for custody..she won. Cooper has a brother Carter, from the WyattCooper marriage.
"Gloria was able to keep her name in the news because of her marriage adventures, or perhaps ventures. She was only seventeen, in 1941, when she married her first husband, Pasquale DiCicco. The marriage lasted four years and was dissolved through divorce in 1945. In the same year, 1945, she married the famous conductor, Leopold Stokowski. The couple had two sons, Leopold S. Stokowski [1950] and Christopher Stokowski [1955]. The second marriage was dissolved in the same year their second son was born, in 1955. In the following year, in 1956, Gloria married the film director Sydney Lumet. This marriage lasted until 1963 when the couple divorced. The couple had no children. Gloria’s fourth marriage took place the following year, in 1964. She married the author Wyatt Emery Cooper. This marriage produced two children, Carter Vanderbilt Cooper [1965-1988] and Anderson Cooper [1967]. The first son, Carter committed suicide under mysterious conditions when he was only 23 years old. "
OIC... I miss read, here is the quote...she did have 4 husbands but Brando/sinatra not one of them:
"But she also went through four marriages—one to director Sidney Lumet—and affairs with Marlon Brando (“fleeting but fun”), Gene Kelly (“like Brando”), Howard Hughes (“very private”), and Frank Sinatra (“magical”). That she knows a thing or two about sex should come as a shock to no one."
