I was too busy watching BBC America's Torchwood:Children of Earth miniseries on my TIVO. It was DAMN GOOD TOO!!!

Karmi – regarding Sgt Lashley's letter . . . Crowley threw Lashley under the bus. First he had no idea what the media was talking about and then it was . . . I never gave anything the President and anything Lashley says, does or writes is on him.

Micheline – it is all good. These poor people have themselves all twisted up about our wonderful, intelligent, and brilliant President. They can't help but to hate on the brotha for his skills.

You should be very sympathetic and understandable. After all, In a few short years whites will be a minority in this country and that is a scary prospect. All those “unknown” factors . . . will we enslave them for 200+ years ? Will they actually have to compete based on merit and not the color of their skin? It certainly doesn't help that most Americans (including whites) actually want a fair and free society and over the last 2+ years they have been pushing back hard against any signs of inequality. It's just isn't fair to folks like the author of that piece.

The age of the internet proved not just to the United States but to the whole world that the GOP leadership . . . well they aren't too bright. Don't even think about the folks that remain in the republican party (i.e birthers, tea baggers etc.). . . Most are certifiable nut jobs. That is very difficult to deal with. Hey can you imagine what it is like for the public to actually find out that folks like Judge Sotomayor, the President, First Lady Michelle etc. contrary to what was said in the past, shows just how brilliant minorities are and the fact that they can add their past experiences to further enhance their judgment is a beautiful thing.

Sadly that has left some feeling a little lost and they are searching for an identity. So you get the Glen Becks, the Limpballs etc. who are now talking about a white “culture”. . . you have republican leaders trying to pass laws around having the president show his birth certificate to prove that no one that smart could actually BE an American much less an American leader . . . you have these same leaders reduced to telling people that quality affordable healthcare equals rationing, serves a blow to the poor insurance companies with that pesky “competition” and all, and the government wants to kill all the old and young people in the U.S.

You have to cut them a little slack.

Think about what would have gone down if that was Michael Eric Dyson…

I was doing the same thing last night. Torchwood made me cry and it has never done that before.
