Critics seem to believe it’s ironic that the nation’s top doctor would be overweight, and it’s led the most nattering of nags to conclude that she should not be picked for prom queen, er, I mean, surgeon general.

You would think the entire population of the blogosphere had suddenly reverted to the seventh grade.

“I refuse to let fat be socially acceptable … The President should have known better and picked a doctor who could kick start the debate on fat not perpetuate it,” commented one reader on a national news site.

I you recall going back to the primary, Hillary went on the attack about Obama's church…well…I said at the time, Hillary's choice of religious practicing had to be questioned also. There wasn't any traction at that at the time…..guess, Hillary might want to rethink who she prays with going forward. Especially since I truly believe she plans to go for the presidency one last time.

A young Somali man captured by the US during the rescue of an American sea captain from pirates has been indicted in New York on multiple piracy charges.

Abde Wale Abdul Kadhir Muse faces 10 counts including piracy, holding a hostage for ransom and armed hijacking.

Let me know how he's doing if anyone has heard anything more about him.

oh he'll get his week long wall to wall memorial, and he's probably more deserving of that treatment than most who get it. it's sad to lose a real journalist like him, in a country that already has far too few.

i won't hold my breath waiting for certain folks to feign indignation over how the news has come to a standstill on this one though...
