True dat. Gates still shouldn't have sassed off at the cops, though, even if he was right to be p'o'd. You never ever argue with the cops. What I liked about old school civil rights people were that they did everything with the patience of Job, so that when things were later reviewed they really were clean as a whistle.

So I'm not mad at the cops in Gates case. I'm mad at the trick who called the cops on Gates and the driver in the first place. What kind of neighborhood was he living in that his neighbors didn't even know him? Didn't know him enough to NOT call the cops on him when he's trying to get into his own home?

Gates' whole protest just strikes me as bourgie, the smack that the Talented Tenth get upside their head every once in a while when they think they've made it above the normal peon negros they write about, or try to represent in the best light when being an Only in their professional settings. You know what I mean?

This issue should not have escalated as it did. Absolutely not. But Gates bears some responsibility. And the chick who made the call to the cops bears the most.

Where is she at? Why hasn't she come out of hiding? Or has she? Why place this all on the cops?

P.S. remember when Zsa Zsa got arrested? She raised hell, too. :)
