Oh man, was this speech awesome or was it awesome? I'm going to read through the transcript again too and I agree with Jill that it would be good to hear how some of the programs will specifically be implemented, but once again, Obama knows how to make us be quiet and pay attention!!! That speech had my whole house in a hush this morning – I'm so proud of him and his approach… just a wonderful, wonderful thing.

You guys are on it, as usual. What's also notable about that “Mussulmen” quote from the treaty is that the first part of the sentence says, “As the government of the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian Religion.”

So much for the 'foregone conclusion' of this being a “Christian nation” as intended by the Founders.
