What's dangerous here is that our media, and by extension, our society have grown accustomed to a White man telling us who is and who isn't a racist, and when racism does and doesn't exist.

OK. If there's one thing we know, it's that Gingrich didn't "retract" his words based on personal reflection. He and his ilk have found themselves on the wrong side of yet another argument.

What's dangerous here is that our media, and by extension, our society have grown accustomed to a White man telling us who is and who isn't a racist, and when racism does and doesn't exist.

In a multi-racial, multi-ethnic, multi-religious society, we can NEVER allow this to be the norm.
