I'm calling shenanigans on this one. How can people take offense to the president relaxing while having a conversation with a foreign dignitary over THE PHONE? The showing of the sole of the shoe couldn't have been an insult to the Israeli Prime Minister if HE WASN'T EVEN IN THE ROOM (or even able to see the President much less the bottom of his shoes). I think this is the sweetest thing. Say what you want about his policies, good (women's rights) or bad (FISA), but he knows how to be down to earth and connect with people. He's all right.
