Thanks for the numbers links. This green jobs pitch is a sham. I run a small business that is a "pathway out of poverty" and can't get any government help on the local, state or national level because it's not "minority owned". I do employment minorities, veterans, AND people with disabilities already, offer (company paid) insurance and benefits. This bill only effort at controlling more of the private sector for tax revenue. "Green jobs" will be lacking unless the same unemployed we have now are compelled to work, even if wages are mandated higher. I live it every day. As a person who is making "durable goods" and providing a living for 30+ other people, I believe this is a bad deal for America. I cannot see how I can turns this into a net positive from the increased costs and bureaucracy. There are no "green jobs" to be gained anywhere up or down my supply chain. Conservation and environmental concerns will continue to be at the forefront of this debate, but this bill is not centered on those concerns.

As far are the cost to Americans, when have any of you known the government to give accurate cost projections? Are you willing to pay more for less than you have now (electricity, vehicles, any thing made with, carried by, or using either)?

I've called my reps too, and voiced my opposition.
