dnA, thanks for this. it's great having someone reporting on this from the inside. if you get a chance, i want to know how much conversation is going on with regard to palestinian quality of life. i don't expect much and get that this group that is focused on its own survival.
but, concerns for israel's security notwithstanding, the palestinian folks are denied some basic human rights. freedom of movement, economic activity, and living under a state of constant siege where massive violence can be inflicted at any moment. those circumstances breed the "hate" that biden and kerry spoke against. how do people there feel about a systematically oppressed palestinian people? is there any historical identification with their plight?
