What exactly is so scary to you about making public housing energy-efficient while giving some of the people who live in public housing jobs training and better jobs? It will save money all the way around in the long run. Sounds very practical to me and not like a handout at all. How does this look like dictatorship to you?

I think the goal is to make green jobs more accessible to people that live in public housing instead of the norm which is white men. I hope this actually works. So many programs have the goal of training people of color but the companies pass them over for promotions to decision making positions and high paying opportunities. So in theory Great. In practice who knows.

Thank you Mr President?????? when he gets done 0ur nation will be like Cuba Russia or any socialist country, we will not gain with him in office it's a lose,lose situation. If you want to impeach somebody start here, for the good of our country!!!!! When He gets done we will probably have to have permission to get dressed in the morning, We call him President but dictator would be more fitting.

Isn't this a bit of a contradiction?

Both Donovan and Solis also were announcing that their departments are working together to make it easier for public housing residents to find training programs or a green job. …

These jobs, broadly defined as related to helping the environment, pay up to 20 percent more than other jobs, are more likely to be union jobs and are more likely to be held by men, less so by minorities and people who live in cities, according to a report the task force issued in February. These jobs also are ones that cannot be easily transferred overseas.

The public housing I used to live in needs a facelift. I would love to get one of these higher paying gigs.
