15 years. Always paid on time. Kept low or NO balance. Get laid off and miss payment, (which was paying bill down to zero). Get $35 late fee. As loyal 15 year customer, call to ask for waiver of late fee. Send in 'late' payment, but it crosses paths with next billing cycle.

Another late fee is added to next statement. Call to explain situation. Get told by worker and the supervisor "Nope, can only waive one late fee.' Meanwhile, 'late' payment is applied to the account so that, now, all this is on the bill is late fee that 'can't' be waived.

Credit cards should not be allowed to charge a late fees ON a late fee.

These are the questions I posted?
Why are the credit card companies allowed, when they close your account, allowed to register that as a negative on our credit score?
Why are they allowed to penalize you when you close an account? this is pertinent because w/ identity theft you are penalized for unauthorized use so way not close them down?
