I was wondering what the opinion of School Vouchers was here at JJP. I was reading some articles criticizing the Secretary of Education (my least favorite Obama Cabinet Member) about discontinuing the D.C. Voucher Program.

At my gut level, I’m against vouchers, because I believe it’s a scam brought on by the GOP, who doesn’t give a rat’s ass about public education.

But, I don’t have any children. I am a product of the public schools, but as I’ve gotten older, I realize now all the hustling my mother did to ensure that I was placed in the highest track possible of our school system. So, I’m not a parent on the ground level trying to get a good education for my child, and I don’t know what I would do.

So, JJP, let’s have this debate.
