I love the part where he talked about getting feedback from actual federal EMPLOYEES instead of MANAGEMENT. My mother, who worked for the fed govt for 40 years said Carter was the only other President who tried to do that but was unsuccessful. I get the feeling Obama will be successful.

I am amazed by how great are the challenges that President Obama faces. Unfortunately, to get deficits under control, I'm afraid he'll have to propose some very unpopular measures, like gradually raising the Social Security retirement age, raising the gasoline tax, tort reform for health care. People yell and scream when these things are mentioned, but if we don't do such radical things, I don't see how our deficits will ever get under control. Just my thoughts… I'm confident that Obama is looking very intelligently at the federal budget!
